Update your site’s images from your phone.
A Wix App that turns any placed image into a live slot — refresh it with a phone snap or from your dashboard media library, and it appears on your site in seconds. No editor, no rebuild.
↑ This is a live LiveFrame slot, rendered on this Headless page, polling the relay every 5 seconds.
More slots on this page — each one live.
These are two more LiveFrame slots embedded on this Headless page. Send a photo from the phone uploader and the matching slot here updates within about five seconds — no reload.
Keeping a site’s imagery fresh shouldn’t mean opening the editor.
The problem
Every time a business wants to show today’s special, this morning’s catch, or a packed Friday night, someone has to open the Wix editor, find the right image element, upload, and publish. Field businesses — a market stall, a gym floor, an event team — rarely have that person or that moment to spare.
The insight
The people closest to the moment already have a camera in their pocket. A phone snap should be enough to update what visitors see — without touching the site’s structure, and without a rebuild.
Three steps, then it stays live on its own.
Place a widget = a slot
Drop a LiveFrame widget anywhere on the site. Each placed widget is one slot. The dashboard lists every slot, shows its current image, and gives per-slot phone links plus media-library Update and Remove.
Update from phone or dashboard
Open the slot’s link on a phone — a lightweight PWA, no app install — and snap or pick a photo. Or update it from the dashboard using your Wix media library. The owner chooses which slot each update lands on.
It updates live in ~5s
The slot on the site polls the relay every 5 seconds (and pauses while the tab is hidden). When a new photo arrives, it swaps in — no republish, no rebuild.
The architecture, in plain language
Phone PWA / Dashboard → Multi-tenant Cloudflare relay → Widget polls every 5s
Each install is isolated by its instanceId, and every update
carries an HMAC-signed token, so one site can never write to another’s slot.
The widget on the site simply polls the relay for its slot and swaps the image
when it changes. Because the widget is just a small polling component, the
same approach runs on Wix Studio, the classic Editor, and Headless
— this very page is a Wix Managed Headless site embedding the live slot above.
What to check, and where.
- Installs cleanly on Wix Studio, the classic Editor, and on Managed Headless sites — including the Headless site rendering this page.
- Minimal permissions: requests only
APP-INSTANCE-READ-BASIC-INFOand Manage Media. Nothing more. - Photo handling: images are uploaded into the site owner’s own Wix Media Manager (they own them); the Cloudflare relay only carries the upload and keeps a reference, purged on uninstall. There is no public or external API.
- Privacy & terms are published at the relay: /privacy and /terms.
- Billing: paid with a 30-day free trial, then $6.99/mo or $59/yr — managed by Wix.
Push a photo to any slot on this page.
Scan this code with a phone to open the LiveFrame PWA. Pick a slot — the hero up top, or Gallery 1 / Gallery 2 — snap or choose a photo, send it, and watch that slot update within about five seconds, exactly as a site owner would experience it.
Photos you send land in this site’s own Wix Media Manager and stay there — and appear in its LiveFrame dashboard as live slots.
The questions a reviewer usually asks.
Who pays for the relay and the polling traffic?
Digital Vision does. The relay is a single Cloudflare service that serves every install, funded out of the app subscription. The site owner pays only their LiveFrame subscription — there is no separate hosting cost passed to them, and nothing is billed outside Wix.
Doesn’t polling every 5 seconds get expensive or slow the site?
Each poll is a tiny request — just a timestamp, around 20 bytes. The full photo only downloads when it actually changes, and polling pauses while the browser tab is hidden. For a typical small-business site the cost is a rounding error, and the page itself is unaffected because the check is lightweight and runs in the background.
Where are the photos stored, and for how long?
Each photo is uploaded into the site owner’s own Wix Media Manager, where they own and control it — it stays until they remove it. The Cloudflare relay only carries the upload and keeps a small reference (the media URL plus caption and mood), which is purged when the app is uninstalled. No site-visitor data is collected.
What permissions does the app request?
Only two: read basic app-instance info (to identify the install) and Manage Media (to let the owner pick images from their Wix media library). It does not read contacts, orders, or any site-visitor data.
Does it work on Headless sites?
Yes — this page is a Wix Managed Headless site with the live slots embedded above. The widget is a small polling component, so the same approach runs on Wix Studio, the classic Editor, and Headless.
Is there a public or external API?
No. Updates come only from the owner’s phone uploader or their dashboard. There is no public API and no external checkout — billing is handled entirely by Wix.
What happens if the relay is unreachable?
The slot keeps showing the last image it received and quietly retries on the next poll. A relay blip never blanks the site or throws an error to visitors.
How much does it cost the site owner?
A 30-day free trial, then $6.99/month or $59/year, billed through Wix. Installing the app, placing widgets, and viewing existing photos remain free.
